# LogDescription

When using the [**Interface.parseLog**](/sdk/content/classes/Interface#parselog) to automatically match a Log to its event for
parsing, a **LogDescription** is returned.

## Properties

| Property    | Modifier   | Type                                                  | Description                                      |
| :---------- | :--------- | :---------------------------------------------------- | :----------------------------------------------- |
| `args`      | `readonly` | [`Result`](/sdk/content/classes/Result)               | The arguments passed into the Event with `emit`. |
| `fragment`  | `readonly` | [`EventFragment`](/sdk/content/classes/EventFragment) | The matching fragment for the `topic0`.          |
| `name`      | `readonly` | `string`                                              | The name of the Event.                           |
| `signature` | `readonly` | `string`                                              | The full Event signature.                        |
| `topic`     | `readonly` | `string`                                              | The topic hash for the Event.                    |
